Message from Director-General (2002)

We are honored to announce the opening of “Nanotechnology Researchers Network Center of Japan”.

Our center (nanonet center) mainly supports research facilities and provide nanotechnology information. It is our purpose to promote nanotechnology of all universities in Japan, independent administrative institutions, and public and private research institutions by breaking down the barrier of the ministries and agencies.
And it is also a main issue to create the wide ranged nanotechnology network not only in Japan, but also overseas.

Our project is unprecedented and innovative challenge. We, both nanonet center and the National Institute for Materials Science, dedicate our efforts to provide new plans, including transferring technology, adequate to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Our center is meant to be for and functioned by users and researchers.

We would like to ask your great understanding and support.
